Detroit Boat Show


The biggest and best boat show in Michigan is held in Detroit at the Cobo Center. It boasts a display including fishing boats, ski boats, pontoons, cruisers, inflatables, personal watercraft, antique boats, sail boats, race boats, motors, trailers, accessories and special attractions.

Spring Boating Expo


More than a hundred exhibitors bring the newest boats and boating accessories to the Spring Boat Expo with everything from ski boats to personal watercraft to inflatables to dockage. The event is held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

WYCD Annual Downtown Hoedown


Head Downtown for the best country music event around and it won't cost you a penny. This country music extravaganza brings together great country music performers, food, beverage and a load of fun.

Detroit Music Awards


Well-known musicians such as Kid Rock, Eminem, Bob Seger and Smokey Robinson have performed at this event which honors and and showcases the talent of artists in the Detroit music scene.

Detroit River Days

This annual event has been held for years, thrilling patrons with fireworks, clowns, face painting, balloon animals,a  playground for children, interactive exhibits, concerts, KART racing, and other family activities. The festival is held at Detroit's International Riverfront.

Jazzin on Jefferson

From local talent to nationally known artists, the lower Eastside waterfront entertains patrons with some of the best jazz and blues, tasty bites to eat and a variety of arts and crafts.

APBA Gold Cup

Get your boat motor running! Check out the antique boats and the powerboats as they speed along the Detroit River at this annual competition.

August

Ribs n R and B Jazz Festival

Food and fun galore! Enjoy mouth-watering barbecue, drink, shop and listen to live entertainment at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit.

African World Festival

Enjoy the African culture through performances, food, games, storytelling, music, crafts and vendors selling everything from clothing to masks. This annual event is sponsored by the Charles H. Wright Museum and held at Hart Plaza.

Detroit International Jazz Festival


The Detroit International Jazz Festival is a huge, free live music event held every Labor Day weekend in downtown Detroit. National and internationally known jazz and blues artists, as well and emerging acts, perform more than 125 free shows during the course of the weekend.

Arts Beats and Eats Festival

Enjoy art exhibits, food, 200 live performances on 10 stages, and vacation giveaways. This lively fest is held over Labor Day weekend in downtown Royal Oak.

November

Americas Thanksgiving Parade


More than 75 floats, balloons, marching bands, and other specialty acts march along the streets of downtown Detroit in celebration of Thanksgiving and welcoming the Christmas season. Look for a number of celebrities participating in this annual event.

December

Noel Night


Patrons gather in Detroit's University Cultural Center Area for this annual celebration where more than 20 institutions open their doors free of charge to the public. Festivities include horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping, family craft activities, musical and dance performances and the day ends with a community sing-along.
